Strangely, I was for reason unknown researching Francis Ashton and came upon your site. I was at Dunstable in 1941 and was delighted to find a school photo of 1947 when I was a senior of some kind, possibly a prefect. I remember many of the faces around me with great affection. I'm attaching the 1947 school photo with a red line around the me that was. I would have been 16 and sitting higher school cert at the time.

I was in Thring House and a boarder. I represented school in the 1st XI Cricket, 1st XI Hockey and 1st XV and was labelled Hart 1. There were three other Harts, two brothers who were Hart 2 and Hart 3 (no relation) and my young brother Robert - framed in blue - who was Hart 4 - sadly deceased. My older brother Basil had already left and was in the army. His history as a sportsman was legend. Please let me know if any of my generation are still extant and possibly in touch with you.

Very best wishes.

Malcolm Hart
